In a whirlwind world of running from one task to the next, “Nova Conscientia” beckons deep, steady breath. The poetic lines in Spectral Lines comprise the lived experiences of an Autistic Nonbinary Poet with ADHD and other co-occurring disabilities. From sensory sensitivities and interoception to Autistic joy and specialized interests, Rei's poetry features an array of facets that encompass the Autism Spectrum. No one Autistic person is the same, but it is through their unmasked outpourings that the author hopes to encourage further solidarity amongst Autists and inspire allyship in allistic individuals.
